Help keep Alberta’s kids tobacco free for life!
Our provincial government has made great strides to reduce tobacco use in Alberta. However Alberta's youth smoking rate is disturbingly high and tobacco use remains the leading cause of premature death in Alberta, resulting in an estimated 3,000 deaths every year.
The Campaign for a Smoke-Free Alberta believes more needs to be done to reduce tobacco use in Alberta. We are encouraging provincial party leadership candidates to support policies that will help keep Alberta kids tobacco free. In 2011 we are engaging leadership candidates and surveying them for their stance on important tobacco reduction issues. Our goal is to encourage future party leaders to support tobacco reduction policies.
